Fix the networks now - a must-watch

Tags :I have never had the opportunity to attended XOXO Festival, or SxSW in its early days, but they are at the top of my most desired, want-to-attend events list.
This year, Erin Kissane gave what I feel will become a seminal talk on the state of social networks today (and so much more). Akin to the talk Ethan Marcott gave at New Adventures in 2019 on the need to unionise, to look out for each other, probably one of the most important, and breathtaking talks I have ever seen.
Erin’s talk resonated deeply, and the experiences she shares left me with goosebumps and tears. Set some time aside to watch it, and re-rewatch it.
So, I’m saying all of this in this room to you because a lot of us remember what it was like to live and work on an internet that was deeply flawed but not systematically designed to burn our emotions, time, and safety for fuel.
