March, our chocolate cake month — 13 Mar 2020

Despite today’s uncertainties and grim times since the worldwide spread of SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes (COVID-19), March remains our chocolate cake month (aka birthday month).

Mathias and Emma have grown into responsible and resolute young adults, facing the challenges that await them with confidence and commitment. We are proud of their outlook on life, their generosity and acumen, and the values they stand up to defend.

Although we don’t bake near as many chocolate cakes as we use to, and despite celebrating mostly among ourselves this year, we managed to sprinkle a couple of chocolate cakes, candles, smiles and shiny eyes throughout this first half of March.
