Wrapped in numbers

I don’t know about you, but this year I’ve received an increasing number of “Year in review / Wrapped / Recap / Replay 2025” emails, which led me to start digging into what numbers I could surface about the past year.

Beyond the usual suspects (music or books), I’ve been curious to see how to extract and process Apple Health data locally.

Cycling is mostly my daily commutes. I try to record each time I go for a walk or a hike, but I might have missed some. We’ve hiked less this year, probably due to last summer’s poor weather and because we spent more time on the Lake.

Albums

Asaf Avidan is one of my favourite singer-songwriter of the moment, and Unfurl exemplifies the breadth of his creativity and sensitivity. Two of my all time favourite albums turned 50 and were remastered with rare tracks and concert recordings. This year, “Black and Blue” turns 50…
